Fundraising Pickleball Tournament at LBCC, 5/31/25
On May 31, 2025, Fostering a Better Nation partnered with Marsell Wellness Center to host a fundraising pickleball tournament at the courts of Long Beach City College. From this event alone, we successfully raised $2,000 dollars.
We extend our upmost gratitude to Marsell Wellness Center, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, and the Los Angles Galaxy Foundation for generously funding our event and donating prizes to make it all happen. And, it would not have been possible without our wonderful 34 participants who made the experience truly unforgettable.
On August 1, 2025, Fostering a Better Nation was invited by Marsell Wellness Center to be a guest for their Youth Global Expo, the closing ceremony of an engaging entrepreneurship program for foster youth.
Co-founders Noah Barkol and Diego Fonseca-Perez attended the event, giving a speech on their own entrepreneurship journey and advice. The event not only facilitated collaboration between Marsell Wellness Center and Fostering a Better Nation over their shared goals, but also between Noah, Diego, and the foster youth in attendance.
Marsell Youth Global Expo, 8/1/25

The success of the event is all thanks to the tireless effort of our great leadership team and all those who contributed. We are extremely grateful for our new and returning participants as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and Selkirk Sport for providing them with amazing prizes.
