Our Impact
Cypress Community Festival, 10/12/24
President Noah Barkol volunteered at the Cypress Community Festival, representing St. Irenaeus Health Ministry by running a booth about human trafficking. This event, along many eye-opening experiences with the Orangewood Foundation, was an immense inspiration to eventually create Fostering a Better Nation. Learn more
Fundraising Pickleball Tournament at LBCC, 5/31/25
On May 31, 2025, Fostering a Better Nation partnered with Marsell Wellness Center to host a fundraising pickleball tournament at the courts of Long Beach City College. From this event alone, we successfully raised $2,000 dollars.
We extend our upmost gratitude to Marsell Wellness Center, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, and the Los Angles Galaxy Foundation for generously funding our event and donating prizes to make it all happen. And, it would not have been possible without our wonderful 34 participants who made the experience truly unforgettable.
Fundraising Pickleball Tournament at the Sports Basement, 8/8/25
On August 8, 2025, Fostering a Better Nation partnered with the 562 Pickleball Organization to host a fundraising pickleball tournament at the Sports Basement in Long Beach.
The success of the event is all thanks to the tireless effort of our great leadership team and all those who contributed. We are extremely grateful for our new and returning participants as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and Selkirk Sport for providing them with amazing prizes.
Over $2,000 was raised from this event!
Volunteering at the Orangewood Foundation, 8/28/25 and 9/25/25
In conjunction with the St. Irenaeus Health Ministry, Fostering a Better Nation volunteered at the Orangewood Foundation to serve 60+ meals to the unhoused in Orange County.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of engaging and meeting new people in our community as well as building a stronger bond with the staff and mission of the Orangewood Foundation.
